Donations

There are a variety of ways that you can help WHOH.

Prayers:  Most importantly, we ask for your continued prayers for the ministry and for the young people that we serve.

Mentors & Volunteers:  Mentors are vital to our program, and we are always in short supply.  We also welcome volunteers to teach a craft or help with a project; this means a great deal to the children.  Please contact Beverly Caligaris at 864-325-9163 if you would like to mentor or volunteer.

• Monetary donation, please write your check to WHOH and mail it to WHOH, PO Box 17765, Greenville SC 29606.  We are a 501(c)3 organization and a donation receipt will be sent to you.

Personal Care Items:  Personal care supplies such as toothpaste/toothbrush, shampoo/conditioner and deodorant are always needed.  The girls are provided with institutional products only and they truly appreciate the higher level of cleanliness provided by the better-quality commercial products that are donated.

• Clothing & Furniture:  We could also use maternity clothing, baby items/furniture, and children’s clothing.  We also collect clothing (all sizes) to give to the young women when they are released from detention in Columbia.
• Sneakers: We welcome donations of sneakers (all sizes) for girls at the Greenville County Juvenile Detention Facility.  When the kids have the opportunity to play and exercise outdoors, they use sneakers from the facility closet (kind of like when you go bowling and borrow the shoes).  Many of the sneakers are in poor condition so your donations are appreciated.
• Bibles:  We welcome donations of paperback NIV Bibles.
• United Way:  You can contribute to WHOH via United Way payroll deduction.
